Important In Winter ’23, Salesforce introduced an improved named credential that is extensible, customizable, and more secure. We strongly recommend that you use this preferred credential instead of legacy named credentials, which are no longer updated or enhanced. For information on extensible, customizable named credentials, see [Named Credentials Schema](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.nc_parts_of_nc.htm&type=5&language=en_US).

1. From Setup, enter Named Credentials in the Quick Find box, then select **Named Credentials**.
2. To create a new legacy named credential, click **New Legacy** from the dropdown menu.
3. Complete the fields.
