# Access Lifecycle Center from a Developer Edition Org

Sign up for a Developer Edition (DE) org and access Lifecycle Center from the App Launcher to evaluate it in a non-production environment.

You can open it directly from the App Launcher. The first time you open it, accept the DX Tools terms and conditions.").

Next, create more DE orgs as pipeline environments, and decide whether to use a sandbox or scratch org as your development environment.

Note Although you can use a DE org as your permanent Hub org, we don't recommend it. DE orgs have very low limits that can affect the long-term use of Lifecycle Center.
