Note You can't remove an environment after it has an activity history associated with it. To change the org connected to a stage in that case, replace the environment instead. See [Replace a Pipeline Environment](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.devops_center_replace_pipeline_environment.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Activating a refreshed sandbox permanently deletes the original environment and its data, which breaks the connection to Lifecycle Center. Replace the pipeline environment in Lifecycle Center before your team members promote changes to the associated pipeline stage. Lifecycle Center deploys changes from the pipeline branch to the new environment.").

1. Go to the Pipelines tab, and select your pipeline.
2. Click the down arrow icon for the development environment that you want to remove.
3. Select **Remove Environment**.
4. Confirm that you want to remove the environment.

Lifecycle Center removes the environment from your pipeline. You can add it again later if you need it.
