# Migrate to Lifecycle Center

Migrate to Lifecycle Center (formerly Next Generation DevOps Center), which is built into the platform and provides an agentic experience and enhanced workflows for managing and releasing changes.

### Required Editions

Important Starting in April 2026, new downloads and installations of the DevOps Center managed package are no longer supported. If you previously installed it, you can continue using it and access it from the App Launcher. We recommend migrating to Lifecycle Center.

## Why Migrate?

Lifecycle Center is built into the Salesforce platform, so there’s no managed package to install or upgrade. It provides an agentic experience and enhanced workflows that streamline change and release management for your team.

## What to Know Before You Migrate

With DevOps Center managed package migration (Developer Preview), you can move your active projects, pipeline configurations, environments, and eligible work items to Lifecycle Center. Run migration multiple times to move new projects, pipelines, and work items. Some data requires post-migration follow-up.

Example Open work items appear as placeholders, and you must reauthorize pipeline environment and source control credentials in Lifecycle Center.
