# Lifecycle Center MCP Tools Error: No Project Repository Found

When you try to use the Lifecycle Center MCP tools, you receive an error message that no project repository is connected to your workspace.

**Cause**

This error occurs when your IDE is open but isn’t connected to a Git-based project repository. The tool needs access to the repository associated with your Lifecycle Center project to analyze conflicts.

**Action**

1. In your IDE, open the Command Palette by pressing Cmd+Shift+P (macOS) or Ctrl+Shift+P (Windows/Linux).
2. Enter Git: Clone and select it.
3. Paste the URL for your project’s Git repository and press **Enter**.
4. Select a location on your local drive to store the project.
5. After the project is cloned, click **Open** in the notification window to open the repository in your workspace.
