Before you begin, review the GitHub or Bitbucket prerequisites depending on your source control provider. See [Set up GitHub as Your Source Control](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.devops_center_set_your_source_control.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Configure your GitHub repository to store project files and manage team access.") and [Set Up Bitbucket as Your Source Control](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.devops_center_setup_bitbucket_as_source_control.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Configure your Bitbucket Cloud repository to store project files and manage team access. Each Lifecycle Center pipeline requires its own Bitbucket Cloud repository as the single source of truth.").

Note The first time you connect, Lifecycle Center prompts you to authorize access to your source control provider.
