# Guidelines for Creating Custom Reports in Backup & Recover for Workday

When you create custom reports in Backup & Recover for Workday, keep these points in mind.

The following guidelines must be followed when creating custom reports:

- Reports must be marked “Advanced”.
- Reports must be marked "Enable As Web Service".
- A WorkdayID is a unique key for every object in Workday. Select the WorkdayID for each object selected in the custom report. This applies to both primary and secondary objects.
- Do not select both "object" and "self reference object". Doing so may create duplicate rows.
- Do not change the default value of “Column Heading Override XML Alias“ when creating reports for both columns and groups.
- When attachments are selected in the report, add the following columns:
    - Base64\_Image\_Data
    - Content\_Type
    - File Name
