# Restoring Data to ServiceNow

The Restore application provides a comprehensive solution for restoring data based on backups to your ServiceNow environment.

Restore for ServiceNow enables you to:

- [Repair Data Loss in ServiceNow](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.br_o_servicenow_repair_lost_corrupt_data.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5): For a selected service, restore deleted records, any deleted child records, and any deleted attachments.
- [Repair Data Corruption in ServiceNow](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.br_o_servicenow_repair_lost_corrupt_data.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5): For a selected service, restore corrupted field data or column data.

## Requirements

To work with Restore you need to:

- Purchase Recover
- Create a minimum of one service
- The created service has a minimum of two existing data backups

Note For the user roles and permissions that must be assigned to the authenticated user, including write access, refer to [User Roles](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.platform_o_user_roles.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Roles are assigned to users per business unit to provide them permission to perform specific actions. Users can be assigned to one or more specific business units with a different role in each business unit.").

## Support Limitations

- The Own platform limits each account to a maximum of six jobs of the same type performing in parallel, which means a maximum of six Restore jobs can be performing in parallel. However, additional Restore jobs can be submitted to the job queue, while six Restore jobs are currently being processed
- The Restore application does not support:
    - Any tables excluded from the scope of a backup
    - Salesforce weekly export services
    - Workday services
