# Resolve Permissions in ServiceNow

Resolving permission issues enables your backup to access all necessary data, preventing an incomplete backup of your ServiceNow instance. If restricted tables are left unaddressed, they can compromise data integrity during recovery.

To resolve permission issues in ServiceNow, the option “Allow access to this table via web services” needs to be checked for each table record in sys\_db\_object. This option determines whether the table can accept inbound web service requests. To update this option for multiple tables at once, use the [list editor](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/bundle/zurich-platform-user-interface/page/use/using-lists/task/t_EditMultRecUsingListEditor.html).
