# Run Backups On Demand in Backup & Recover for ServiceNow

If an automatic backup fails or you don't want to wait for the next scheduled backup, you can start backups whenever you want in Backup & Recover for ServiceNow.

## Run a Backup Manually

1. Go to the Backup tab.
2. Select the backup service for the org in which the data loss occurred. The Dashboard screen for the selected service appears.
3. Click Back Up Now, if you want to back up the entire service. Optionally, you can open the drop down list to:
    1. Back Up Now with Label - Manually back up the entire service, and add a specific label to this specific on demand backup (for example "Test", and so on)
    2. Back Up Now Specific Tables - Manually back up only specific tables.
4. Wait for the backup to complete.

## Backup Specific Tables Manually

You can run an on demand backup of specific tables within a service, if you don't want to wait until the next automatic backup time, and you don't want to back up the entire org/instance at this time.

Note Backup Specific Objects/Tables doesn't use Bulk API.

1. Navigate to the Backup tab.
2. Select the backup service in which the data loss or corruption occurred.
3. Select any tab from the left navigation and select Backup now specific tables.
4. The Backup Specific Tables dialog window appears. Select the objects that you want to back up, and click Back Up Now.

The backup of selected objects begins, and a message bar appears at the top of the screen, notifying that the on demand backup request has been submitted for execution.
