# Backup & Recover for Dynamics – Limitations

When working with Backup & Recover for Dynamics, take note of these points.

## Feature Limitations

- When restoring a full org, you will not be able to select from available Dynamics services.
- We do not support the restore of metadata to a Dynamics environment.
- In the restore corruption flow we cannot update closed incidents, opportunities, leads, quotes and sales orders.

## Known Issues

- The following tables are restored in their default state: Knowledge Base articles, Contracts and Contract Details.
- When third-party solutions are present in an environment, some tables may not be able to be backed up due to user authorization limitations.
- We don't support the restore of records that were merged during data loss.
- When restoring Activities, the Own application only supports data loss and not data corruption.
- When a third-party plugin is used to extract files from the environment, it may affect the duration of the backup. Mainly the tables: activitymimeattachments and annotations.
- The Own application doesn't delete files from the production environment. Therefore, when a file or image type field is empty before corruption, then it is populated with the file or field data after corruption, the restore operation of this record won't empty or remove the field.
- In a backup, the maximum field size of data is 50 MB. Larger field data will fail the section backup.
- After a restore, the system will re-create automatic connections. Manual connections aren't included in a restore.

## Excluded Fields/Tables

- Calculated and Rollup type fields
- Composite Address Fields
- Logical fields (fields that are result of join from another table)
- Virtual tables
- Tables that are not supported by the WEB API

For a full list of excluded tables, see [Dataverse Tables Included and Excluded in Dynamics Backups](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.br_o_microsoft_tables_included_excluded.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "When planning backups for Dynamics, review the Dataverse tables you can include and exclude.") .
