# Understand Supported Salesforce Objects

Ensure your data is fully protected by reviewing which Salesforce objects are supported in backups. By default, backups include history, share, and feed objects. Configure backups to include knowledge articles or custom big objects.

Tip To reduce backup duration and enhance data security, exclude history, share, or feed objects if your business doesn't require them in the backup.

## Backup Considerations

Backup & Recover doesn't support objects with more than 2.147 billion records.

## What's Supported for Backup

Backups include these components:

- Standard and custom Salesforce objects, including all available fields.
- Metadata components backed up as part of the MetaData Backup Service.
- Files, such as attachments and content documents.
- Chatter feeds and attachments.

## Unsupported Objects

The API can't query or fully back up Event Log Objects and the objects listed in the table.
