# Add Missing Permissions Identified in the Permissions Report

Make sure that your Salesforce backups are complete and available for recovery by giving the authenticated user access to all necessary fields.

To fix missing permissions in Salesforce, first ensure that the authenticated user complies with the [Salesforce Authenticated User Permission Requirements for Backup & Recover](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.backup_recover_o_auth_user_perms.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "The Authenticated User connects your Backup & Recover application to a client's Salesforce org. Having a dedicated integration user enhances security, improves audit trails, and avoids API concurrency collisions.").

1. Make the field visible.
    - In Salesforce Lightning, go to Setup > Object Manager > Fields & Relationships.
    - In Salesforce Classic,
        - Go to Setup > Object.
        - Click Field Label, then click Set Field-Level Security.Or from the field itself, click Set Field-Level Security and check the Visible check box next to the profile of the authenticated user.
2. Enable the visibility of the field or check the Visible check box.

For Restoring purposes make sure the access level on these fields is set to Visible to enable the users on the profile to (Read and Edit).

Some fields you see may be part of a managed package, which may need to verify the authenticated user has a license for, or that the package is installed.

With Workbench:

An actionable remediation tool is also provided. The Permissions Report can be exported as a ZIP package to update the integration user's permission set. See [Fix Missing FLS Permissions for Backup](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.backup_recover_o_fix_perms.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Ensure your Salesforce Backup service can access all necessary data by fixing missing field-level security (FLS) permissions. Identify inaccessible data for your backup service's authenticated user and then update the user's permission set with the missing field permissions.").

Click Download Package to export the Permissions Report. This report only shows fields the integration user cannot access. It does not show what field permissions are missing.

If you have any fields excluded in your backups, those fields will still exist in the downloaded Permissions Report package file.
