Note You don't need to be an admin to have the Manage Flow permission. Ask your admin to add it to your profile or permission set.

1. Open the Flows list view.

    - From the Automation app, select the **Flows** tab.
    - From the **Flows** tab in any Lightning app, click the actions menu and select **Open Flow**.
    - From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Flows, and then select **Flows**.

Note that the Automation app and Flows tab options don't require Setup access.
2. Click an existing flow to open it, or create a flow by clicking **New** or **New Flow.**
3. In the place on the flow path where you want the group, click ![Add element](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-platform-platform_automation-264-0-0-production-enus/60568438-ec7e-4665-acd1-7c80dcbe60d5/resources-global/_corporate/images/flow_plus_icon.png), and then select **Group**.

An empty group is added to the path and automatically connects to the elements before and after it.
4. Enter a name for the group.

Use a name that describes the section's purpose, such as Validate Input or Create Records.
5. Optionally, describe the group's purpose in the Description field.
6. Save your flow.

After you create a group, [add elements to it](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.automate_flow_build_group_elements_add.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Add a new element directly inside a group as you build your flow.").
