# Cancel an In-Progress Approval Submission

Cancel an approval submission from the Approval Submissions list view. You can cancel only in-progress approval submissions.

### Required Editions

## Open the Approvals App

Use the Approvals app to cancel an approval submission.

1. On the navigation bar, click ![App Launcher icon](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-platform-platform_automation-264-0-0-production-enus/60568438-ec7e-4665-acd1-7c80dcbe60d5/resources-global/_corporate/images/app_launcher_icon.png).
2. In the search box, enter approvals, and then select **Approvals**.
    
    The Approvals app opens.
3. On the Home tab, select **Manage All Pending Approval Submissions**.
4. To see pending approval submission, from the dropdown list, select **Pending Approval Submissions**.

## Open the Approval Submissions List View

Use the Approval Submissions list view to cancel an approval submission.

1. On the navigation bar, click ![App Launcher icon](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-platform-platform_automation-264-0-0-production-enus/60568438-ec7e-4665-acd1-7c80dcbe60d5/resources-global/_corporate/images/app_launcher_icon.png).
2. In the search box, enter approval, and then select **Approval Submissions**.
3. To see pending approval submission, from the dropdown list, select **Pending Approval Submissions**.

## Cancel an Approval Submission

Cancel an in-progress approval submission.

1. On the Pending Approval Submissions page, from the dropdown for the relevant approval submission, select **Cancel**.
2. If you accidentally tried to cancel an approval submission, click**X** to close the window. Otherwise, on the confirmation window, click **Next**.
