You can create a workflow directly without a blueprint. This option is best for personal use or one-time workflow runs that you don't plan to repeat. For recurring processes or workflows that others will run, create a blueprint first so you can reuse and share the structure. See [Create an Automation Template with a Blueprint in Agentforce Operations](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.automate_afsc_create_blueprint.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Use AI to generate a blueprint by describing your process and optionally uploading supporting documents. You can also build a blueprint from scratch or import one from another workspace. Anyone with the Creator role can generate blueprints in Agentforce Operations.").

1. In the navigation sidebar, click **\+ Create**.
2. Click **Workflow**.
3. Click **From scratch**.
4. Enter a name for the workflow.
5. Click **\+ Add stage** and enter a stage name.
6. In the stage, add a task.

For details on task options, see [Tasks in Agentforce Operations](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.automate_afsc_configure_tasks.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Tasks are the individual units of work in a blueprint. Configure tasks to collect the right information, route work to the right people, and shape how each step behaves at run time.").
7. Repeat the previous two steps to add more stages and tasks as needed.
8. Click **Start workflow**.

Agentforce Operations starts the workflow and assigns the first tasks to their assignees.
