When you split a task, Agentforce Operations creates a separate instance of the task for each value in a multivalue field. Use task splitting to process multiple items in parallel without manually duplicating the same task for each item. For example, split a supplier review task to create one task per supplier when a workflow collects a list of suppliers. You can split standard, approval and linked blueprint tasks.

You can also assign split tasks to AI agents. Learn more in [Assign a Task to an AI Agent in Agentforce Operations](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.automate_afsc_assign_task_to_ai_agent.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Assign a task to an AI agent in Agentforce Operations and provide the inputs needed for reliable completion.")

1. [Create a blueprint](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.automate_afsc_create_blueprint.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Use AI to generate a blueprint by describing your process and optionally uploading supporting documents. You can also build a blueprint from scratch or import one from another workspace. Anyone with the Creator role can generate blueprints in Agentforce Operations.") or [edit an existing blueprint](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.automate_afsc_blueprints_edit.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Open an existing blueprint for editing to add stages, tasks, automations, or other changes.").
2. In the blueprint, click **\+ Task**.
3. Open the **Advanced** section.
4. For **Split this task into multiple based on**, select the multi-select, people, role, document, or data source field from earlier in the blueprint to split on.

If you’re splitting on a people or role field, the task will automatically be assigned to that people or role field. Each assignee gets a task assigned to them.
5. Enter the rest of the task information.
6. Click **Add**.

Agentforce Operations creates a task instance for each value in the selected field, up to a maximum of 50 split instances per task.

## Turn On PDF Generation for a Task

Configure a task so that Agentforce Operations saves the submitted data as a PDF when the task completes.

2. In the blueprint, open the task or approval that you want to configure.
3. Open the **Advanced** section.
4. Select **Save a copy of submitted data as a PDF**.

Submission PDF becomes a field that you can pass downstream to tasks or send to external sources for storage.

Note You can't customize the content or layout of the PDF.

## Download a PDF of Submitted Data

Download the PDF after a task assignee completes a task that has PDF generation turned on.

When the tasks complete, Agentforce Operations creates the PDF file and names it \[Task name\]\_submission.pdf.

The PDF includes:

- Task name
- Assigned to
- Assigned by
- Task description
- Workflow name
- Completed by
- Completed on
- Submission date
- Provided fields
- Requested fields

To download the PDF file, follow these steps:

1. After the task is complete, open the task.
2. In the Submission PDF section, click the PDF file and download.

Note Task activity history isn’t included. Submitted documents are referenced by name only. The actual files aren't embedded in the PDF.
