## Add a Data Source by Using a CSV File in Agentforce Operations

Upload a CSV file to create a data source that users can reference in blueprints and workflows.

Before uploading, prepare your CSV file.

- The CSV file can contain a maximum of 1 million rows, not including the header row.
- The CSV file must have column header labels in the first row and data in the rest of the rows.
- Only text values are supported.

For example:

| Supplier ID | Supplier Site | Supplier Name |
| --- | --- | --- |
| SP0000891 | 155 | 3MPP Mexico |
| SP0002315 | 259 | Ability Industrial Products |

1. In the navigation sidebar, click **Admin**, then click the **Data Sources** tab.
2. Click **\+ Add data source**.
3. Select **File**, and then click **Continue**.
4. Select your CSV file and click **Continue**.
5. Enter a name for the data source.

This name is what shows in blueprints and workflows.
6. Select one or more primary fields.

Primary fields uniquely identify each row. Primary field values are used to match rows when you update the data source later. You can select up to three fields as a combined primary key. The selected value or combination must be unique across all rows. Frequently, the primary field is an ID.

    1. CLick **Select fields**.
    2. Select 1 or more primary fields.
    3. Click **Select**.
7. Click **Continue**.
8. If AI agents can use this data source, select **Allow AI agents to access this data source.**
9. Optionally, in the FUZZY MATCHING section, add up to three columns for the AI agents to use for searching and reasoning. Columns that have long text values are best. For example, a description or comments column.

AI agents use fuzzy matching to find field values that are similar but not exact matches, so results include approximate matches alongside exact matches. Fuzzy matching setup is required only for data sources. CSV files and Salesforce tables that AI agents work with directly during a task support fuzzy matching automatically, without any setup. Fuzzy matching is available only for CSV-based data sources.

    1. Click **Select fields**.

The fields are the column headers.
    2. Select up to three columns.
    3. Click **Select**.
10. Click **Continue**.
11. Optionally add other users that can view or edit the data source.
    1. Click **+Grant access**.
    2. For Grant to, select a user.
    3. Set the level of access by selecting **View** or **Edit**.
    4. Click **Add**.
12. Click **Continue**.

The data source is now available in blueprints and workflows.

## Update Data in a Data Source in Agentforce Operations

Upload a new CSV file to add, edit, or delete records in an existing table data source.

Update a data source by uploading a new CSV file. The new or updated file's column header labels must match and be in the same order as the original. The data from the new file is merged with the existing data by using the primary field to match records.

![Important](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-platform-agentforce_operations-264-0-0-production-enus/dce314e6-0a31-4a8b-98f7-3d2a3fd02ee2/images/icon_important.png)

Important The update file must include all row data you want to keep, both existing and new. Any row data not found in the new file is deleted.

Use the same process to add rows, edit rows, or delete rows.

Update Data Options
| Update Type | Description | Example |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Add rows | Include all existing rows plus the new rows in the CSV file. Then, upload the CSV file. | Add a fourth supplier to a list of three. Upload a CSV file with all four suppliers. |
| Edit rows | Change any column value except the primary column value. Upload the CSV with the updated values. The new values replace the existing ones across all workflows. | Update the amounts of product line items. Update the values of the Amount column, then upload the CSV file. |
| Delete rows | Remove the row from the CSV file and upload it. After it’s deleted, users can no longer select that row data from the data source picker in tasks and workflows. | Remove a customer from a customer list. Remove the customer's row in the CSV file and upload it. |

1. In the navigation sidebar, click **Admin**, then click the **Data Sources** tab.
2. Click the three dot menu for the data source you want to update, and then click **Update**.
3. Select the new or updated CSV file.

The file must have the same column header labels in the same order as the original. If the header labels are different, the update fails.
4. Click **Next: Configure Object**.
5. Review the Basic info page and click **Continue**.

You can't modify the Basic info page.
6. Optionally, make updates to the AI agent access and FUZZY MATCHING columns.
7. Click **Continue**.
8. Optionally, make updates to user access.
9. Click **Continue**.

The data source is updated. If any selected row values changed, those changes are automatically reflected in any workflow where a user has selected the row.

## Update AI Agent Access for a Data Source in Agentforce Operations

Choose whether AI agents can access a data source and search its contents.

1. In the navigation sidebar, click **Admin**, then click the **Data Sources** tab.
2. Click the three dot menu for the data source you want to work on, and then click **Edit**.
3. Choose whether to allow AI agents to use the data source by selecting or deselecting **Allow AI agents to access this data source**.
4. Click **Continue**, and then click **Continue** again.
