# Archive Slack Channel Action

Archives a channel in Slack. Archived channels in Slack are closed to new activity, but the message history is retained.

### Required Editions

In Flow Builder, add an Action element to your flow. In the New Action window, select **Slack**, and then select **Archive Slack Channel**.

## Usage

To use this action, first [connect Salesforce and Slack](https://slack.com/help/articles/30754346665747-Connect-Salesforce-and-Slack), and set the Archive Slack Channel [Workflow Builder step](https://slack.com/help/articles/16749280664595-Slack-administration--Manage-access-to-Workflow-Builder-connectors#set-specific-access) in Slack to Everyone. The user you set as the canvas owner can [manage access permissions](https://slack.com/help/articles/15678967614611) in Slack to share it with others.
