# Suppress Individual Prospects

Use the Do Not Email field on prospect records to suppress individual prospects from receiving marketing emails. The Do Not Email field is an internal suppression tool, and selecting it doesn’t change a prospect’s opt-in status. Prospects marked Do Not Email can still receive operational emails.

1. Open a prospect record, and click **Edit**.
2. Click to expand the Mailability Fields section.
3. Click the **Do Not Email** dropdown, and select **True**.
4. Save your changes.

To allow this prospect to receive marketing emails again, repeat these steps but change the Do Not Email field to False.
