# Prospect Import Errors

When your prospect import has errors, the import confirmation email includes a link to the import error CSV. Prospects with errors aren’t imported or updated, so use this report to fix errors and then reimport the prospects.

## Error Type Definitions

 
| Error Type | Definition |
| --- | --- |
| Archived Prospects | Archived prospects aren’t imported unless **Undelete matching prospects found in the recycle bin during this import** is selected in the import wizard. |
| Invalid Email | The email address is invalid. |
| Field Validation Failure | The imported field value doesn’t match the predefined field values. |
| Email not Allowed | The email address isn’t allowed. Account Engagement rejects spammy and role-based email addresses on import because they’re likely to cause spam complaints and blocklisting. |
| Invalid According to Policy: Policy Expired | The time on your computer is incorrect. We recommend that you update your computer time using a resource like www.time.gov. |
| You are not authorized to modify this prospect | The prospect isn’t assigned to the user performing the import, and the user doesn’t have the View Prospects Not Assigned to Self permission. |
