# Add a Honeypot Field to External Forms

A honeypot is a hidden field that is visible to bots but not humans. When a bot fills out a form, the bot sees the hidden field and fills it out. Account Engagement rejects submissions that contain a value in the honeypot field. You can add the honeypot field to your external forms that you have integrated with form handlers.

### Required Editions

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small edition"><colgroup><col></colgroup><tbody><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: <span>All Account Engagement Editions</span></td></tr></tbody></table>

In your external form, add this code:

```html
<div style="position:absolute; left:-9999px; top: -9999px;">
    <label for="pardot_extra_field">Comments</label>
    <input type="text" id="pardot_extra_field" name="pardot_extra_field">
</div>
