# A/B Testing for Classic Emails

Send two different versions of your email to a small subset of your recipient list. Then use engagement data to choose a winning version and send that version to the remainder of your list.

- **[Considerations for Using A/B Testing](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.pardot_emails_ab_considerations.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
When you work with A/B testing in Account Engagement, keep these considerations in mind.
- **[Enable A/B Testing for an Email](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.pardot_emails_ab_test.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
You can enable A/B testing for any Account Engagement classic email. After A/B testing is enabled, you can switch between the two versions to edit your content. A/B testing begins only after you schedule or send your email.
- **[Disable A/B Testing for an Email](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.pardot_emails_ab_testing_off.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
If you haven’t started an A/B test, you can disable testing for the email and choose which version to keep as the draft.
