# Use the Recycle Bin

When you delete an asset, it isn’t deleted. Instead, it’s moved to the recycle bin. You can restore most assets from the recycle bin. You can’t empty the recycle bin.

### Required Editions

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small edition"><colgroup><col></colgroup><tbody><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: <span>All Account Engagement Editions</span></td></tr></tbody></table>

When moving items to the recycle bin, keep the following considerations in mind.

- Items in the recycle bin don’t count toward usage limits.
- If you delete a campaign, the prospects associated with the campaign remain in the system tagged with the deleted campaign. You get a warning if elements associated with the campaign, such as lists, rules, and landing pages, are in use. You can then delete the assets or associate them with another campaign.
- Admins can permanently delete prospects from the recycle bin.
- A deleted prospect is restored when the Salesforce record it’s syncing with is undeleted. When you permanently delete a prospect, you must delete associated leads and contacts in Salesforce.
- Opportunity and Prospect Account custom fields are deleted permanently and don’t appear in the recycle bin. You must manually re-create the field. To recover field values, run a full sync with Salesforce.
- Content files are deleted permanently and can’t be restored, even though they appear in the recycle bin.
- Tags are deleted permanently and don’t appear in the recycle bin.

1. Open the recycle bin.
    - In Account Engagement, select **Admin** | **Recycle Bin**.
    - In the Lightning app, on the **Account Engagement Settings** tab, select **Recycle Bin**.
2. On the Recycle Bins page, select a module, such as Lists, that has the items that you want to restore.
3. On the module details page, to restore a single item, click the gear icon in the Actions column, and select **Undelete**.
4. To restore multiple items, select the box next to each item you want to restore and, from the dropdown menu under the table, select **Undelete** and then click **Go**.
