Note Pardot is now known as Marketing Cloud Account Engagement. We wish we could snap our fingers to update the name everywhere, but you can expect to see the previous name in a few places until we replace it, including in the app itself.

- Before you upgrade to first-party tracking, get familiar with [visitor tracking](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.pardot_admin_tracker_domain_visitor_tracking.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "When managing tracker domains and visitor tracking, keep these considerations in mind.").
- For best results, enable third-party cookies during the transition to full first-party tracking. Learn about [cookies and activity tracking](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.pardot_basics_cookies.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Account Engagement tracks visitor and prospect activities on your website and landing pages by setting cookies on their browsers. Cookies are set to remember preferences (like form field values) when a visitor returns to your site. We also set a cookie for logged-in users to maintain the session and remember table filters.").
- The default domain go.pardot.com isn’t used with first-party tracking.
