# Send Offer Messages from Marketing Cloud Next with Outbound Engagement

Marketing managers get communication templates with an offer launch message and a follow-up reminder message for email, SMS, push notification, and WhatsApp channels. After an offer is ready for activation, marketing managers can create an outbound engagement to automate message delivery to offer target audiences.

Before marketing managers can use outbound engagement to send offer messages, admins must [set up Marketing Cloud Next for Offers](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.offers_setup_communication_mc_next.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Set up Marketing Cloud Next and Outbound Engagement to empower marketing managers to automate the process of sending offer messages across email, SMS, push notification, and WhatsApp channels with minimal effort.").

1. From the Outbound Engagement component, click **Start**.
2. Select the offer launch template for the channel that you want to send, and click **Next**.

Templates are available for **Offer Launch Emails**, **Offer Launch SMS**, **Offer Launch Push Notifications**, and **Offer Launch WhatsApp Messages**. Create a separate outbound engagement for each channel that you want to use.
3. Enter the details of the campaign.
4. For target audience:

    1. From Audience Type, select **Specific Segment**.
    2. From Data Cloud Segment, select the offer target audiences to send messages to.

You can't select segments other than the ones that are selected as the offer target audience.
5. Click **Done**.

It takes a couple of minutes to create the campaign and the flow that sends the offer messages. After the campaign is created, you’re redirected to the campaign page.
6. From the Flows tab, you can:

    1. Open the flow that sends the offer messages and customize the flow logic based on the offer's activation requirements.
    2. Edit the messages and customize them based on your company's branding, voice, and tone.

To personalize the content of the message, select the target offer and offer treatment, and then use its fields, such as Offer Heading, Offer Body, and Call to Action Text, in the message. If you update the offer treatment later, the message automatically reflects the change the next time it's sent. See [Create Channel-Specific Communication Content for Targeted Outreach](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.offers_treatment.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "After creating an offer, marketing managers can use the Treatment Designer to create tailored content for different delivery channels. Define headings, body text, and call-to-action details to optimize your offer messaging for various customer touchpoints.").

7. After your flow and its messages are ready, activate the flow.

After the campaign flow is active, messages are automatically sent to the target audience based on the flow configuration.
