# Public Group Considerations for Marketing Planning and Operations

Users who belong to specific public groups can create marketing programs, act as compliance reviewers, and get personalized home pages. Create the public groups that your team needs, so they're ready to use.

### Required Editions

## Allowed Creators for Hierarchy Levels

When you set up a planning hierarchy, you can control who creates marketing programs at each level. To allow access, add specific users, public groups, or profiles as creators. A user gets access as a named user, as a member of an allowed public group, or as part of an allowed profile.

## Reviewers for Compliance Controls

Each compliance control can name a default reviewer who evaluates the compliance reviews that the compliance control generates. A default reviewer is a user or a group. When the reviewer is a group, any member of the group can pick up the review.

## Groups and Profiles for Home Page Versions

Personalize the Marketing Planning and Operations home page for different audiences and assign each version to specific public groups or profiles. Create the public groups that you need first, so they're available when you assign a page.
