# Track Marketing Content Performance

Find out how users engage with your content so you can make informed marketing decisions. Monitor content performance in a few different ways.

- Content Performance dashboard–On any content record, use the Performance tab to access a dashboard with overall KPIs and engagement data for content variations. Filter the data by date range, campaign, or flow.
- Reporting dashboards–Access Marketing Performance and Data 360 dashboards to report on content, campaigns, engagement by channel, and more. See [Reporting in Marketing Cloud Next](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.mktg_reporting_types.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "After you set up Marketing Performance Intelligence and install the required analytics packages, you get access to a number of different reporting options in Marketing Cloud Next.")
- Impression Region Tracking–To report on a specific content block, such as a paragraph or other component, use Impression Region Tracking. You can create custom reports to see click engagement and other metrics. See

- **[Track Content Performance with Impression Regions](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.mktg_content_impression_regions.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Use impression region tracking to measure how individual content blocks perform, giving you metrics that help inform your content decisions. See how dynamic content variations compare, or how a single content block performs across sends to different segments. Turn on tracking for a component, and then create custom reports to view engagement metrics. You can define an impression region with Handlebars or AMPscript functions.

When you implement impression regions with Handlebars or AMPscript functions, you customize them with content that you want to track. These examples cover some common use cases and show you some different configurations for impression regions using Handlebars.

Configure Urchin Tracking Module (UTM) and custom tracking parameters for your links. Add fallback values so links remain tagged when editors don't enter values for individual links.
