1. On the Campaigns tab, create a campaign.
2. Name your campaign, enter the campaign information that you need, and click **Save**.
3. From the Start section on the Build Your Own tab, select **List** or **Segment**.
4. Optionally, edit the name of the flow, and then click **Save**.
5. Set a schedule for your flow. To begin sending immediately, finish configuring your campaign, and then select **Send Now** in the Schedule section.

Messages send only when you activate the campaign.
6. In the Start section, select a segment or actionable list.
7. If you’re working with a segment, publish it. Even if your segment is already published, publishing it again helps ensure that the segment is up to date.
    1. Allow time for the segment to publish, and then refresh the page.
    2. To preview who’s in the segment, click **Preview**.
8. Add message elements, and select or create content as needed.
9. For each message in your flow, complete these steps.
    1. Edit and customize the content.
    2. Preview and test the content.
    3. Publish the message.
    4. Configure required message details, such as sender and communication subscription.
    5. To reorder a message element or to view it in the flow, click the dropdown list for the message, and then select **View in Flow**.
10. If needed, add and configure a time-based wait element in your flow.

To add or remove other elements, open Flow Builder.
11. When you’re done, activate the flow. If you’re working with a segment trigger, decide when to republish it, and then finish activating.

Flow Builder uses the segment’s publish schedule. For the most up-to-date data, select the option to republish the segment immediately before running the flow.

Example At Ursa Major Solar, marketer Lance wants to send a product update to a specific group of customers. To set up this campaign, Lance creates a campaign called "Spring Product Update." In the Start section, Lance selects List as the flow trigger and saves the flow. Next, Lance selects the list of customers that they created for this campaign and sets a schedule for the flow. Finally, Lance adds a Send Email element and creates an email that highlights the latest product improvements. When everything looks right, Lance activates the flow, and the email sends at the scheduled date and time.
