# Connect a Personalization Campaign to a Marketing Campaign

Enhance marketing campaigns by creating and connecting Personalization campaigns.

### Required Editions

When adding a personalization campaign to a marketing campaign, keep these considerations in mind:

- Before you begin, make sure to set up Salesforce Personalization. See [Set Up Personalization Features in Marketing Cloud Next](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.mktg_data_graph_setup.htm&language=en_US) for more information.
- Creating and connecting a personalization campaign from a marketing campaign requires defining a business unit for the data space that the personalization campaign runs on. You can connect only one business unit to a data space. See [Business Units in Marketing Cloud Next](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.bu_get_started_with_business_units.htm&language=en_US) for more information.
- You can connect only one personalization campaign to a marketing campaign at a time.

To add a personalization campaign to a marketing campaign:

1. From the Campaigns tab, create or edit a campaign.
2. Specify or modify the name of your campaign, enter the details that you need, and save your changes.
3. Click **Get Started** next to **Personalization** on the Campaign page.
    
    Adding Personalization to a campaign requires that the campaign flow have a business unit assigned. If you don’t have a business unit configured for use by the campaign, contact your Salesforce admin to add one.
4. Click **Go to Guided Setup** to start configuring your personalization campaign.
5. Create a personalization campaign.
