A marketing object stores data for your marketing use cases. If you used Marketing Cloud Engagement in the past, think of marketing objects as similar to data extensions. Create a marketing object by importing data from a file.
- **[People Records in Marketing Cloud Next](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.mktg_audiences_people_records.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Marketing Cloud Next includes records that can store data about people who interact with your business at different stages of your marketing, sales, or service lifecycles.
- **[Use Segments in Marketing Cloud Next](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.mktg_audiences_segments.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Use segments to find the right audience for your campaigns. Segments update dynamically based on filters, such as profile attributes or behavioral data. You can build segments manually or with Einstein generative AI.
- **[Use Actionable Lists in Marketing Cloud Next](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.mktg_audiences_actionable_lists.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
An actionable list is a fixed collection of audience members. Static lists are ideal for quickly reaching a specific set of known individuals, such as people who subscribed to emails at a trade show. Create and manage lists from the Actionable Lists tab. You can also create a list from a campaign, or add people to a new or existing list when you import lead or contact records.
- **[Other Data 360 Features for Marketers](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.mktg_audiences_data_cloud_features_ref.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
