1. In your workspace, open the email or message that you want to edit.
2. To edit text for an email, SMS, MMS, or RCS message, click the text and make your changes.

Select the message text to reveal the available editing tools.
3. For email, you can also click the **Code** tab and make your changes directly in the HTML.

For detailed, custom control over your email design, edit the HTML and CSS. The code editor includes syntax highlighting and structure editing, and it supports AMPScript. Advanced users can also use Handlebars templating language to add scripting and conditional logic.
4. Optionally, add a link to your email content.

    - Add a button element to your email, and then in the button's properties, change the button type to **Link**.
    - Click the **Code** tab, and manually edit the HTML to insert an `<a>` link.

If you manually add or edit HTML elements, include the required custom data attributes so that your content stays selectable and editable in the editor. See [HTML Requirements for Manually Edited Content](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.mktg_ac_html_editing_ref.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "The agentic content code editor supports standard and workspace-specific HTML tags. Review the required data attributes so that manually added or edited HTML elements stay selectable and editable in the visual editor.").
5. Select an image to reveal its editing tools, and then remove it, resize it, or replace it with one of your uploaded images.

After you finish editing, create variants if needed, and then publish approved content. See [Work with Content Variants](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.mktg_ac_create_variants.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Create alternate versions of generated content to test different creative directions, audiences, or locales while keeping the same campaign context and grounding. Make targeted edits, update images, change personalization options, generate a localized variant, or create other options with differing subject lines. For example, if your marketing brief or prompt defines more than one audience, you can request to generate a variant with a unique style, tone, and data strategy for each audience.") and [Preview and Publish Content](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.mktg_ac_preview_publish.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Preview content across devices and locales, preview personalization as a specific recipient, and send test emails before you publish.
