Note

To send customers from a flow into a journey, the journey must be active, and it must use the API Event entry source.

These steps assume that you’re familiar with how to create and configure a flow. For more information, see _Salesforce Help_: [Automate Tasks with Flows](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.flow.htm&language=en_US) and [Create and Manage a Campaign Flow](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.mktg_campaigns_working.htm&language=en_US).

The ability to send flow members into your journeys unlocks options that aren’t possible with Marketing Cloud Engagement alone. For example, a flow can send a user into one of several journeys based on that user’s attributes or prior behaviors. You can also use flows to chain journeys together. When a customer completes one journey, the flow can automatically add them to a follow-up journey.

These videos show how to create segment-triggered and activation-triggered flows that send users into journeys.

1. In a flow, click the plus sign (**+**) at the point in the flow where you want to add the action.
2. Select **Send to Journey**.
3. In the Send to Journey Action pane, select a journey.

    Note

For a journey to appear in the list, all of these considerations must be true:

    - The Marketing Cloud Engagement business unit for the journey must be mapped to the data space you’re currently working in.
    - The journey must be active.
    - The entry source for the journey must be an API Event.
4. Configure the Send to Journey action:
    1. For **Label**, enter a label for the action. The label is the text that appears in Flow Builder to help identify the action.
    2. For **API Name**, enter a unique name for the action. You can use this name to interact with the action using REST API.
    3. In the Set Input Values section, select the attributes to pass from the flow to the journey.
