Before you set up Marketing Performance, [connect Marketing Cloud Next to Marketing Cloud Engagement](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.mke_configure_connect_mce.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Start the setup process by identifying the Marketing Cloud Engagement account to connect to Marketing Cloud Next.").

## Select the Data to Import

After you connect your accounts and enter your credentials, specify which data to import from Marketing Cloud Engagement into Marketing Cloud Next.

1. In Setup, go to **Data Cloud** | **Salesforce Integrations** | **Marketing** | **Marketing Cloud Engagement**.
2. Next to your connection to Marketing Cloud Engagement, on the actions menu, select **Edit**.
3. Under Data Source Setup, next to Setup bundles to import into Data Cloud, click **Manage**.
4. On the Setup Bundles window, select all the channels that you want to import data from, and then click **Start**.
5. Next to Select the business units to import data from, select **Manage**.
6. From the list of available business units, select the business units that you want to import data from. Click the right arrow button to add them to the list of selected business units.
7. Save your changes.

## Install Data Kits

Data kits are prepackaged collections of Data 360 objects, such as data model objects (DMOs), calculated insights, and identity resolution rules. Data kits are a reusable way to format external data—in this case, data from Marketing Cloud Engagement—to work with Data 360. To use the reporting tools in Marketing Cloud Engagement+, you must first install the Engagement data kits.

1. In Setup, go to **Marketing Cloud** | **Assisted Setup** | **Basic Settings**.
2. In the Install the Marketing Data Kits section, click **Install**.

The installation takes about 30 minutes to complete.

## Install Marketing Performance

Marketing Performance is a suite of reports that gives you real-time insights into your sending and engagement metrics. You can filter the reports to deep-dive by date, channel, business unit, and other metrics.

1. On the App Launcher, search for data, and then select **Data Cloud**.
2. On the Data Streams tab, click **New**.
3. Under Connected Sources, select **Marketing Cloud**.
4. Click **Next**.
5. Configure the Email Studio data bundle.
    1. For **Connection**, select the Email item.
    2. Click **Next**.
    3. Click **Next**.
    4. Click **Next**.
    5. Click **Deploy**.
6. Repeat this process to create bundles for the other channels that you use, such as SMS or WhatsApp.
7. In Setup, go to **Marketing Cloud** | **Marketing Features** | **Marketing Performance**.
8. In the Install Marketing Performance section, click **Install**.

The Marketing Performance app begins to install. This process takes around 5 minutes to complete.
