# Workspace Settings in MDP

Each Marketing Cloud Intelligence Data Pipelines account can have multiple workspaces. Each workspace has its own data streams, dashboards, and reports. You typically use workspaces to separate clients, business units, channel views, internal views, or role-based views—whatever best fits your needs.

Your work environment displays one workspace at a time. When changes are made, they are only applied to the workspace you are working in. You can control your workspace settings from the workspace settings tab, found in your profile. Each workspace is defined with a default maximum number of allowed rows (50M). If you exceed this amount, an error message appears informing you that the workspace cannot be created. To extend the default amount, contact your MDP representative.

- **[Manage Your Workspace in MDP](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.mcidp_dato_getstarted_wspace_manage.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
You can monitor row usage, upload images, and change your workspace settings.
- **[Add Custom Attributes to a Workspace in MDP](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.mcidp_dato_getstarted_wspace_custom.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Add custom attributes so that you can filter workspaces.
- **[Restore Deleted Workspace Items in MDP](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.mcidp_dato_getstarted_wspace_restore.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
When you delete data streams, reports, pivot tables, calculated dimensions, dimension hierarchies, calculated measurements, or filtered measurements, they are placed in the workspace bin. You can restore these items if needed.
- **[Add an Exchange Rate at the Workspace Level](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.mcidp_dato_getstarted_exchange_rates_workspace_add.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
If you are setting an exchange rate at the workspace level, then you have the option to inherit the account level exchange rates by checking the Inherit account rates checkbox. If the inherit account rates checkbox is checked you can’t add new currency exchange rates on the workspace level.
- **[Date Ranges in MDP](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.mcidp_dato_getstarted_dates.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Use a date range to display specific data. You can set a date range for a pivot table, and a report. You can select a predefined date range from the date picker, such as Last 30 days or This Month, or you can enter a range. When you set a date range, your data updates according to the dates selected.
- **[Custom Date Range in MDP](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.mcidp_dato_getstarted_custom_date_range.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
You can define your own date range categories using formulas or functions. You can use your custom date ranges anywhere a date can be selected in the workspace, such as reports, and pivot tables.
- **[Workspace Integrations in MDP](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.mcidp_dato_getstarted_ws_int.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Workspace integrations bring together multiple systems allowing them to work collaboratively with Marketing Intelligence Data Pipelines. For example with the Slack integration you can send alerts directly into Slack from MDP.
