# Enable MFA in MDP

Users can enable MFA in their account.

MFA isn’t applicable for accounts that have SSO enabled. All new accounts have MFA enabled by default. Users complete MFA each time they log in to Marketing Cloud Intelligence Data Pipelines and after each session timeout. Session timeout is defined per MDP account and determines the amount of inactive time after which a user is logged out of the platform. By default, MDP times out after 60 minutes for existing accounts and 300 minutes for new accounts.

1. To the right of the navigation bar, click the dropdown arrow, and then click the **Account Settings** icon.
2. Select **Account Settings**.
3. Under **Settings**, select **Require Multi-Factor Authentication**.
4. To adjust the session timeout for all the users in the account, in **Session Timeout** change the timeout.
5. Save your work.
