# Create a Custom Date Range in MDP

Create a custom date range based on your needs.

For example, you can create a date range called Last 3 Weeks that begins 3 weeks ago from today and ends today.

1. To the right of the navigation bar, click the dropdown arrow, and click the Account Settings gear icon.
2. Expand the workspace menu, and select **Custom Date Ranges**.
3. Click **Add New**.
4. Name the custom date range.
5. For the **Start Date** and **End Date** fields, double-click a function or formula on either the **Functions** or **Data Ranges** tab to create the date range.
6. Save your custom date range.

When you enter your custom formula, the date is calculated automatically. Calculated dates are relative to the workspace time zone.
