# MDP Apply PGP/GPG Decryptor Transformers

You can use the PGP/GPG transformer when you want to decrypt uploaded encrypted files with a PGP/GPG decrypting tool.

For more details about PGP, see [https://searchsecurity.techtarget.com/definition/Pretty-Good-Privacy](https://searchsecurity.techtarget.com/definition/Pretty-Good-Privacy). To enable this transformer, you need a passphrase and PGP/GPG private key.

1. Navigate to the **Import** tab.
2. Expand **Data Streams List**.
3. Create a data stream, or edit an existing one.
4. In the **Preview Source** screen, click **Edit Transformers**.
5. In the **Add Transformers** area, next to the **PGP/GPG Transformer**, click the blue plus icon.
6. (Optional) In the **Passphrase** field, if you defined a passphrase to encrypt the file or the data on top of an existing PGP key pair, enter it here.
7. (Optional) In the **Private Key Password** field, if you defined a password for the private key, enter it here.
8. In the **PGP/GPG Private Key** field, enter the private key.
9. The **Automatically remove the PGP/GPG file extension after decryption** checkbox is selected by default.
10. Click **Done**.
