# MDP Prerequisites for Creating an API Data Stream Using the Order Management System Connector

To create an API data stream for OMS, you enable using multiple currencies. Then, when products have different currencies, Marketing Cloud Intelligence Data Pipelines converts the currency to the currency selected in MDP.

The user must have Admin permissions in Order Management System (OMS) to authenticate with MDP.

1. In Order Management Setup, expand **Company Settings**, and click **Company Information**.

    Click **Edit** and select **Activate Multiple Currencies**.
