# MDP Order Management System API Connector

Order Management System (OMS) is a central hub for handling all aspects of the order life cycle, including order capture, fulfillment, shipping, payment processing, and services.

The data stream type is ecommerce, and data lagging is 1 day.

Here is some additional information about the Order Management System API Connector:

- If your Commerce Cloud setup is connected to OMS, your Commerce Cloud data appears in MDP when connecting to the API.
- MDP pulls both order and item-level data using the order key. The order key is in the URL of the order in OMS and appears at the end. For example, …/OrderSummary/10s4L000000kFIYSAU/view
- MDP maps the OMS order number to a custom field named Order Number.

    To create an API data stream for OMS, you enable using multiple currencies. Then, when products have different currencies, Marketing Cloud Intelligence Data Pipelines converts the currency to the currency selected in MDP.
