# Salesforce Message Credits

As a Marketing Cloud Engagement customer with Marketing Cloud Next, you consume Salesforce message credits every time you send a message from Marketing Cloud Next or Marketing Cloud Engagement.

### Required Editions

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small edition"><colgroup><col style="width:100%"></colgroup><tbody><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: Marketing Cloud Next in Marketing Cloud Engagement <strong>Pro</strong>, <strong>Corporate</strong>, and <strong>Enterprise</strong> Editions</td></tr></tbody></table>

If you’ve used Marketing Cloud Engagement in the past, you’re probably familiar with Super Messages. Think of message credits as a replacement for Super Messages. However, unlike Super Messages, you can use message credits to send messages from Marketing Cloud Next. You can also use message credits to send messages from other Salesforce apps, such as Service Cloud.

The number of message credits available in your account depends on which Marketing Cloud Engagement edition you use. When you use message credits, you get access to usage reporting data in Digital Wallet. These dashboards show how many messages you’ve sent in a specific period and how many of each type of message you have left. You can drill down by messaging channel, business unit, or destination country.
