- **[Configure an Objective-Based Recommender](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.persnl_recommender_configure_objective_based.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
That use a deep learning model, an objective-based recommender generates personalized, targeted recommendations for individuals to advance a specific business-related goal. You can choose to use an existing, predefined objective or create a new, custom objective for the recommender. Salesforce Personalization supports five predefined objectives – Maximize Revenue, Maximize Revenue with Promotions, Maximize Clicks, Maximize Email Clicks, and Maximize Revenue with Email Content. These predefined objectives require you to map and include certain Data 360 entities in your profile and item data graphs. If you’re using a predefined objective, make sure that you configure the data graphs correctly. The predefined objectives help recommend content for individuals. To recommend content based on the activities of an account, create a custom objective.
- **[Configure a Rule-Based Recommender](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.persnl_recommender_configure_rule_based.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Leverage business logic and Data 360 calculated insights to mathematically determine a list of personalized recommendations, enhancing user experience and driving engagement.
