# Clone a Segment for Marketing Cloud Personalization

You can clone a segment so you can reuse all or part of it in another campaign. This approach saves you time because you don't have to create an entire segment.

### Required Editions

1. In the **Audiences** section of the main navigation, select **User Segments** | **User Segments**.
2. Select the segment you want to clone.
3. Click **Clone**.
4. Change the name of the existing segment to a new **Segment Name** that describes its purpose.
5. If necessary, select a category from the **Select Category** dropdown.
6. If necessary, select a rule from the **Select Rule** dropdown.
7. Configure any additional parameters.
8. Create additional rules as necessary.
9. Click **Save**.

Example

As an example, suppose you want to create segments of users from specific locations who have a lifetime value of more than $1500, and have been on your site three times in the past month. Create the initial segment, clone it, and change only the location for the other segments.
