# Configure an Einstein Email Recommendations Scenario

Choose the recommendation scenarios to use in Einstein Email Recommendations.

1. On the **Scenarios** tab, select a scenario from the list.
2. Click **Add**.

    Note For details about what each scenario does, see [Einstein Recommendation Scenarios](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.mc_pb_einstein_recommendation_scenarios.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "These scenarios help you produce Einstein Recommendations for email or the web in Marketing Cloud Engagement.").
3. Click **all areas** and select a recommendation area from the dropdown list.
4. To add more scenarios, repeat steps 1 through 3.

    Note When there are multiple scenarios, Einstein Recommendations returns predictions from the highest-ranked scenario.
5. To preview the recommendations, click **Preview**.
6. To reorder the priority of scenarios, drag them into the order from top to bottom on the canvas.
7. To use [waterfall predictions](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.mc_pb_waterfall_predictions.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Prioritize your recommended scenarios from highest to lowest using waterfall predictions in Einstein Recommendations. In a waterfall prediction, Einstein goes down the list of scenarios and returns all available matching items until it reaches the total number of recommendations that you set. Set up a default site data scenario last in your hierarchy to ensure that Einstein fills the total number of recommendations."), select **Enable Waterfall Prediction**.
8. To suppress system-generated scenarios, select **Disable System Scenarios**.
9. Click **Save**.

    Note To restore the default scenario configuration, click **Restore to Default Best Practices** and click **Save**.
10. Click **Exit**.
