# Set Up a Microsoft Azure Blob Storage File Location in Marketing Cloud Engagement

Transferring files directly from Microsoft Azure is faster than transferring files from the Enhanced FTP server that’s built in to Marketing Cloud Engagement. You can grant Marketing Cloud Engagement access to your cloud storage through Microsoft Azure Directory or Shared Access Signatures.

To complete this task, you must have administrative permissions to view and manage file locations.

Note For importing a file from Azure locations, only Block Blobs are supported.

1. In Marketing Cloud Engagement Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter file, and then select **File Locations**.
2. Click **Create**.
3. Complete the information in the Properties section.
    1. For **Name**, enter a unique name that’s recognizable when creating an activity in Marketing Cloud Engagement.
    2. For **External Key**, enter a unique key that identifies the file location when using the API.
    3. For **Description**, enter details that help further identify the file location when creating an activity in Marketing Cloud Engagement.
4. For the location type, select **Azure Blob Storage**.
5. Complete the location information.

    2. For **Storage Account Name**, enter the name of your Azure Blob Storage account.
    3. For **Container Name**, enter the name of the container that you want to target in your Azure Blob Storage account.
    4. For **Relative Path**, enter the relative location or folder path inside the container. Don’t use a leading or trailing forward slash ("/") in your path.
    5. For **Tenant ID**, enter the Azure Tenant ID. This step is only necessary if you use Active Directory authorization.
    6. For **Client ID**, enter the Azure Client ID. This step is only necessary if you use Active Directory authorization.
    7. For **Client Secret**, enter the Azure Client Secret. This step is only necessary if you use Active Directory authorization.
