# Change Single Sign-On Information

When you renew your security certificate or change your identity provider, update the single sign-on (SSO) settings in Marketing Cloud Engagement.

1. Create a user with administrator-level permissions in your Marketing Cloud Engagement account. Configure the account to use password authentication (not SSO).
2. Reset the password for the new admin user.
3. Log in to the new admin user account.
4. From Setup, go to **Data Management | Key Management**, and select your existing SSO Metadata key.

You can either copy new SAML metadata into the field or use the guided configuration.
5. Click **Save**.
6. Log out of the admin account.
7. Log in to your usual admin account to test the SSO authentication configuration.

If you can log in, your SSO configuration is updated correctly. If you can’t log in, log in using the new admin account that you created. Change the SSO configuration, and test again.
8. After you change the SSO settings, deactivate the admin account that you created, but don’t delete it. You can reactivate the account the next time you update these settings.
