# Assign a Role to All Business Unit Users

In Marketing Cloud Engagement, you can assign a role to all users in a business unit. Additional roles can be assigned directly to the user. When roles conflict, deny settings override allow roles.

1. In the app switcher, hover over your name and click **Setup**.
2. Click **Business Units.**.
3. Select the business unit you want to work with.
4. Click **Manage Roles**.
5. To assign or remove a role, select a role. To assign the selected role to all child business units, select **force inheritance**.
6. Save your work.
