# Delete a Marketing Cloud Engagement Journey

Remove drafts and journeys you no longer need from Journey Builder. If a journey is running or finishing, stop it before you delete it.

Note To use this feature, enable the Delete permission in the user’s Journey Builder role.

Important You can’t recover a deleted journey.

1. To delete a journey, open the journey, and click ![the settings icon](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-mktg-mc_journeys_and_automations-264-0-0-production-enus/e08cdd71-c1c1-4ae5-a5e9-8a6dad583ad4/mc_journeys_and_automations/images/mc_jb_settings_icon_w_arrow.png).
2. Click **Delete this Version** or **Delete Journey**.
3. Click **Delete**.
