# Track a Google Analytics Audience

To use a Google Analytics audience as an entry source in Journey Builder, create the audience in Google Analytics, and then add it to the Marketing Cloud Engagement integration. When you connect an audience to Engagement, it synchronizes the audience automatically or according to a schedule that you set.

Before you start, set up Engagement in your Google Analytics property by completing the [Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement audience integration](https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/9250031).

Build your properties and audiences on the Google Analytics 4 (GA4) platform. Google provides tools for migrating legacy properties and audiences to GA4.

1. From Engagement Setup, select **Apps**, and then select **Google Analytics Integration**.
2. Under GA4 Audiences, click **Add Audiences**.
3. Select the Google Analytics account that contains the audience that you want to track.
4. In the list of properties, select the audiences that you want to track.
5. Save your work.

The sync schedule begins 10 minutes after you select an audience and then runs daily at the same time. If you select more audiences later, syncing follows the same schedule. After the initial sync, the Google Analytics integration starts collecting metrics for the audiences that you selected.
