# Deactivate a Tracking Parameter

To stop tracking a Google Analytics parameter in Marketing Cloud Engagement, deactivate the parameter in Setup. Deactivation is immediate, and future sends aren’t tracked.

1. From Engagement Setup, go to Data Management and click **Parameter Management**.
2. Expand a string to view its parameters.
3. Click ![the Action menu icon](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-mktg-mc_data_management_and_analytics-264-0-0-production-enus/7988f60d-cd94-4b42-8836-dc11773564b5/mc_data_management_and_analytics/images/file_actions_arrow.png) and deactivate the string.
